What do you need to build an affordable web database?

Two software and a persistent computer

They are Power BI and Excel.

Power BI serves as a front end, allowing users to search, filter, and display information, while Excel functions as a back end for storing data.

Both software programs are affordable yet powerful.

Why do you need them?

Advantages and limitations of using Power BI as a front end

Advantages:
– Low requirements for coding and it has a drag-and-drop feature.
– A variety of functions are available to meet essential needs.
– Its coding, DAX, and formulas are very similar to those in Excel if advanced functions are needed.
– Relatively inexpensive compared to its competitors.

Limitations:
– It appears to lag when searching.
– It is not sophisticated enoughfor customizing interfaces.

Advantages and limitations of using Excel as a back end

Advantages:
– Easy to custom a database
– Inexpensive
– Suitable for short-term use
– Suitable for small size database

Limitations:
– It is not sophisticated enough for customizing interfaces.

24/7 up and running

A persistent computer connected to the internet is required so that users can access the database anytime, anywhere.

It should be cheaper than paying for a cloud database.
